Bad PhotoStrengths: You can't take a bad photo unless you forget to remove the lens cover! Weakness: It makes you look so good your always taking photo's while everyone else is eating pie. The photo's are sharp wide and as a non expert I leave it on Auto mode and point & shoot. It's user friendly and as you feel like taking on more it guides you thru with ease.

Nikon D3000 (with 18mm-55mm lens)
THE GOOD: Beginner-friendly Guide mode; nicely laid out interactive control panel; solid photo quality up through ISO 1,600. THE BAD: Extremely basic feature set; annoying multiselector switch. THE BOTTOM LINE: Its feature set is basic even by entry-level standards, but the Nikon D3000 delivers the photo quality and performance you expect when stepping up to a dSLR, with an optional interface... Camera Labs – Nikon D3000 review
The D3000 is Nikon’s latest entry-level DSLR, featuring 10.2 Megapixels and an easy-to-use control system aimed at beginners or those upgrading from a point-and-shoot. It’s the true successor to the popular D60 and positioned below the D5000 in the current Nikon range. The D3000 inherits the sensor and body of the earlier D60, but increases the screen size to 3in and grabs the impressive... Top

The Nikon D3000 is an entry level digital SLR camera released in August 2009. Physically, this DSLR is compact and lightweight, making it more convenient to carry around than a conventional SLR. The D3000 borrows several features from its predecessors; a 10.2 megapixel CCD sensor and 3fps continuous shooting from the Nikon D60, plus an 11-point autofocus system with 3D tracking from the D90. the D3000 Nikon SLf
Strengths: Simplicity
Weakness: a wee bit heavy
I purchased this camera as I was about to leave for a 10-day vacation in Switzerland. This camera did not disappoint me; it was simple to use; took absolutely beautiful photos. I especially like having to use the view finder instead of the display to shoot the pics. Displays have always presented problems for me especially since I am near sighted with an astigmatism. So pleased I made this...
